Hanz – Halloween Anim Jam Sequence
Hanz was created as part of an Anim Jam—a collaborative animation project where multiple animators create short sequences that link together based on a shared theme and soundtrack. The jam I participated in was Halloween-themed, set to music selected by the group host.
Transition & Flow
The main rule of the jam was to connect seamlessly with the animations before and after. The person before me swiped left to right, so I started my shot with movement from the left, animating the hand toward the center of the screen. I wrapped it up with a fade to black transition, letting the hand hover on screen as it fades out—ready for the next animator to pick up the sequence.

Concept & Animation Style
Hanz was a motion graphic animation built entirely with animated vector lines to give the character’s fingers a more organic, fluid movement. Keeping the design simple but expressive helped the motion feel more alive and eerie—perfect for the Halloween vibe.
